SCHOLARSHIP: Superintendent's Scholarship Program
REQUIREMENTS: Dallas Independent School District graduating senior completing the
Recommended or Distinguished Achievement High School Program, Have a minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, Have a score of at least 850 on the SAT (Critical Reading and Mathematics) or a sum score of at least 23 on the ACT, Have applied to an accredited college, university, or community college, Have passed all sections of the state exit exam, Student should submit the following to the counselor’s office: A completed application form, A résumé (not to exceed two pages), Three letters of recommendation: One from a teacher, One from a school staff member, One from a community member (e.g., minister, employer, community service supervisor), An essay of 200 to 500 words (minimum 1 page, maximum 2 pages, double-spaced) on the topic Why I Selected My Top College Choice and How College Will Help Me Pursue My Chosen Career, Evidence of community service, An official AAR (transcript).
